Sydney, June 2025 – New data released by Matchboard, Australia’s award-winning outsourcing matchmaker platform, reveals the most sought-after offshore destinations for Australian businesses in the first half of 2025. Leading the list is the Philippines, chosen by 29% of clients, followed by Fiji (23%) and New Zealand (16%), with the remaining 32% spread across a diverse range of countries including India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Malaysia, Pakistan, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Latin America.
This insight is based on data collected through Matchboard’s platform, which connects businesses with optimal outsourcing providers for services such as customer service, IT, HR, and accounting.
For all of 2024, Fiji and the Philippines tied as the top offshore outsourcing destinations among Matchboard clients, each receiving 39 preferences (26%), while South Africa emerged as a strong contender with 14%.

“While Fiji was overtaken by the Philippines this year, it’s important to recognise Fiji’s exceptional performance in the global BPO market. Despite its small size, Fiji offers a compelling value proposition for ANZ businesses, thanks to flight and time zone proximity, strong English proficiency, and cultural alignment.
At the same time, the Philippines continues to dominate through its deep talent pool, increasingly in digital and IT, and an expansive range of BPO vendors to choose from.”
Melamed also highlighted the growing diversification of outsourcing destinations:
“Each country offers distinct advantages. Sri Lanka has become a hub for finance and accounting talent, while India excels in operational scalability and tech-driven solutions for enterprise clients. South Africa stands out for high-performing B2B sales and lead generation teams.”
