November 16, 2023 – At The CEO Magazine’s Executive of the Year Awards, Australia’s most prestigious business awards event, Matchboard’s Founder, Sharon Melamed, was named runner-up, Entrepreneur of the Year 2023.
A panel of seven judges included Ronni Kahn, CEO and Founder, Oz Harvest and Andrew Hume, CEO, Converge International.
Melamed said, “I am so excited to be named runner-up, Entrepreneur of the Year 2023, for Matchboard. The winner was of course Honey Insurance’s dynamic founder, Richard Joffe – just being alongside him in the category, together with the likes of Ben Cohn and Tash Menon, is incredible. A highlight of the evening was an inspirational speech by Prof. Michelle Haber, a leader in childhood cancer research, who received a lifetime achievement award. I also want to take this opportunity to congratulate CEO of the Year in the $100 million+ category, John Winning, and runner-up Michael Rebelo, CEO of Publicis in ANZ. And course Richard Joffe, who pipped me at the post in the entrepreneur category!”
